News : News from Chile !

We received a message from Ignacio Alliende from Chile. The earthquake that occured in February has also effected them, although they are more than 750 km from the epicenter, but fortunately Ignacio and his family are unharmed.

The first foals of Lotus van 't Groenenbroek are now 6 to 7 months old, and they are with 52 in total! Special: also a black and two chestnut foals were born! Further there are all kinds of roan variations, uncluding chestnut roan and blue as we could see in the pictures.
For this year -breeding season begins around September- 56 foals from Lotus are expected. The mare Amber, who moved to Chile together with Lotus, is pregnant and at the end of October a "pure Belgian draft horse" will be born on South American soil, most likely the first!

Guus, the colt of who Amber was pregnant when she was sold, is now two years old and will probably be used the coming breeding season. Guus has the stallion Guus van Berkeldal as father.

Yet a strange idea that there are now foals out of Groenenbroek-studs in the United States (from Expo) and Chile (from Lotus)!
