News : (As yet) 3 foals in 2013
With great satisfaction we can say that next year we certainly expect 3 foals! For the result about Myra we still have to wait, but we will leave it at this one attempt anyway to try to get the birth of her foal back a little earlier in the year.
If everything else goes well, in 2013 following combinations will be born:
2x Matteo
For Zita and Annelies we chose the four-year old blue roan stallion Matteo van 't Rietenhof. His first foals were born this year and looked very promising. Self, he is a long-lined and masculine stallion with an outstanding mother line (Justine x Lotte van 't Rietenhof x Aster van den Oudenbos x Tulp van 't Cleihof) and the Keur Preferent stallion Iwan of Aardenhof as father (also the father of our mare Noor).Noor x Kondor
For our three year-old mare Noor the choice fell on Kondor van 't Keerkenhof (s. Koss uit de Vinkenpeel), a stallion which has charmed us since we first saw him and also with a rare pedigree. On his mother's side Pia van 't Keerkenhof was born from the legendary Buffalo van 't Zwaluwnest and the former champion Amazone van 't Keerkenhof. Pia is also the mother of among others the former Belgian champion mare Marina van 't Keerkenhof.We look forward to the next (busy) spring where we hopefully may welcome 3 (maybe 4) healthy foals.
Meanwhile, we also decided that we will keep the two fillies that were born this year, Jenna and Kyra, ourselves with our eye to the future.
